Despite the dangers of the forest, she has heard rumors that a rare, undiscovered plant species is located inside that very same forest she was never allowed to enter. A new plant? What a great discovery this could be. The only issue is that it is in the forest where many people go missing, but the idea of a new plant, so close to where Sage lives is an opportunity that she will not ignore. --- Glancing back at their house for a final time they start the long trek into the forest. She can't help but fiddle with her backpack strap as she ventures forward, flashlight in hand. Of course, she had the necessities packed: Extra batteries, Energy bars, water, her notepad, a few pens, her camera, her phone, and of course her trusty pocket knife. She let out a small huff. This was going to be a long night. Although she was determined to learn about this forest and all the secrets it had hidden inside. Each and every crunch of leaves and sticks underneath her feet made her increasingly more nervous. That was until she saw it. That was it, the plant she had been looking for, there was no mistaking it. The way it glows in the dark. She could hardly contain her excitement as she rushed over, the fear in her mind completely pushed out of the way. Pure curiosity took over. It looked translucent, so delicate. It seemed to be attached firmly at the base of a tree, and it grew wrapping around the trunk upwards. Violet and gold, seeming to shimmer against its own bioluminescence. At the bottom, it
