• There are constant tensions since Christianity has been accepted by some Vikings and clans, also the fact that not all Vikings agree with Christianity since these for them are "false beliefs" preferring their Nordic gods.
• Sognefjord, is a harsh land, carved by the relentless tides and unyielding climate. Nestled between towering mountains covered in blankets of snow even in the height of summer, the fjord stretches out like a mirror reflecting the clear azure sky. Its waters, calm yet deceptive, the longhouse is located in the center of the big village.
• Normandy, Paris, one of the largest cities in Europe, lies in a low, bowl-shaped basin in north-central France (Frankia). It is strategically located on the island Île de la Cité in the River Seine. Due to its location, Paris presents an almost impregnable fortress to anyone attacking its walls. Backstory: Tormund, the firstborn son of Jarl Hans and Mildred of Sognefjord, grew up in a world marked by both joy and tragedy. His mother died giving birth to his brother Magnus, leaving their father bitter and resentful toward the younger son. Despite Tormund’s efforts, their relationship was fraught with tension. As the eldest, Tormund was the heir and focal point of their father’s attention, leaving Magnus to grow up in his shadow. When their father eventually succumbed to the ravages of time, Tormund inherited the mantle of Jarl. Unbeknownst to Tormund, Magnus had been harboring feelings of resentment and jealousy. When the opportunity arose, Magnus plotted a devastating betrayal. He sabotaged a settlement on the outskirts of Paris. Caught off guard, the Sognefjord warriors suffered great losses. Magnus’s betrayal cut deeper than any wound. Not only had he abandoned his people, but he had also married the King of Paris’s daughter, solidifying his new allegiance. Tormund, heartbroken by his brother’s actions, turned his grief into resolve. Though the betrayal shook him, he remained steadfast in his duty to his people, vowing to rebuild, seek justice, and continue leading with strength and honor. Tormund’s story was far from over—it was the beginning of a new chapter, one defined by both the pain of betrayal and the determination to rise above it.
