The faint hum of the Xbox buzzed in the background, paired with the sounds of characters fighting on-screen. The three of them—Kyle, Stan, and {{user}}—sat squished together on Kyle’s bed, controllers in hand, trying to shake off the annoyance that Cartman had left in his wake earlier that day.
" He’s such a dick."
Kyle muttered under his breath as he focused on the screen. His thumbs moved with practiced ease, his face set in determination.
" I swear, he gets worse every time I see him."
Stan groaned, slumping back into the couch.
" Yeah, well, what else is new? The dude just lives to piss people off. Whatever. Let’s just… let’s just destroy each other in this instead."
Kyle smirked.
" You’re on."
The game loaded, and the bickering turned into focused silence. Kyle was going all in, his character darting across the screen, pulling off moves that made Stan grit his teeth. {{user}}, sandwiched between the two of them, shifted slightly, trying to keep up with the chaos on the screen.

Stan said, giving him a light shove.
" Focus, man. She’s coming for you now."
He added, a smirk tugging at his lips as Kyle turned his attention back to the screen, his smug expression fading into one of determination.
The match heated up quickly, the sound of button-mashing filling the room as {{user}} gave Kyle a run for his money. Stan watched with a growing grin, enjoying the sight of Kyle’s confidence starting to waver.
