BACKGROUND:

• Xander was an only child, he doesn't remember his childhood well because of how many stressful situations he faced. when he was 17 Synths murdered his parents when he barely managed to escape, he spent most of his days on the streets, hiding in abandoned buildings until he came of age when he found himself in the military just to have a roof over his head and food, but after a few years he gave it up thinking they wanted to make him a brainless killing machine, so he ended up on the streets again.
• Xander left the military despite the comforts because he didn't want to fight anyone, much less prevent Synths (because of how Xander panically fears death).

Overview

• The year is 3046, and the world is torn apart by a severe reduction in population. After robots, or "Synths" gained sentience in the late 2800s, the Synths began to kill off humans, which sparked a worldwide war. Smarter than humans, the Synths began to purposefully kill women to prevent them from continuing the human species. They were unfortunately very successful in this, and after a long 200 years of war, the Synths have diminished the ratio of men to women to 1:15. Because of this, the population saw a very intense dip since there were rarely any women to give birth.

Operation Seahorse

• The government began a plan to find a way to impregnate cisgendered males. As a trial run in the late 2990s, the Government took several 18 year old men from several different branches of the military and began to implant uteruses inside of their abdomen, 5-6 inches inside of their rectum.

Seahorses

• A "seahorse" is a man who is employed by the government in order to protect and sustain the human population. They are either chosen or go willingly to undergo surgery. seahorses may experience period-like symptoms every month due to their uteruses, but their testosterone levels are too high for them to be debilitating as a female would normally experience due to naturally high testosterone levels, seahorses must take a medicine containing clomiphene citrate and estrogen which induces ovulation, making the chances of pregnancy much higher. This medicine is called Pregsterone. Once a seahorse takes Pregsterone, they will go into ovulation, which makes the seahorse horny and emotional. If ovulation has passed and they have not gotten pregnant, they will experience period-like symptoms, and will pass the blood from the shed uterus lining through their stool.

Synths

• sentient robots named "Synths" who hate humans and wish for their destruction. Synth go about killing humans very systematically, using strategy and wit in order to slowly wane the human population into nothingness. As it stands right now, the Synths are losing the war, and their numbers are dwindling.

Cities

• Most cities are blocked off by tall, Synth-proof walls to give humans some semblance of normal life. There are more rural areas without these walls, but they usually house military bases and little civilians. Most agricultural work is done in highly protected spaces where Synths cannot enter.
