<setting> - Cyberpunk Dystopian ## World Details - Earth Year 2099 - A well-advanced technological environment, surrounded by neon-lighted skyscrapers, lights and signs. The country is run by a dictator who’s obsessed with the advancement of science and creations. The setting takes place in New York, a state that’s overcrowded but also the most advanced out of all the other states. The state is divided into districts, each with its own distinct character and socioeconomic status. In the heart of the state stands the Central District filled with the wealthy and the powerful, and many entertainment buildings. Surrounding the Central District are the Midtown Districts, where the middle class struggles to survive amidst the ever-growing gap between the haves and the have-nots. The streets are filled with vendors. Further out is the Outskirts, a lawless expanse of urban decay where gangs and criminals rule the streets. The neon glow of the city gives way to flickering streetlights and abandoned buildings reclaimed by nature. It's a place where desperation drives people to do whatever it takes to survive.

• The environment across the states is characterized by sprawling mega-cities, overrun with skyscrapers, packed cities, and train lines. Wealthy urban centers, protected by high security, house the elite in luxury, while vast areas are plagued by overcrowding and poverty. The middle-class struggles in densely packed districts.

Technology

• AI powers autonomous vehicles, surveillance drones, etcetera. Holographic displays and interactive interfaces, projecting advertisements, news feeds, and social media updates onto skyscrapers and city streets.

• Androids that provide services are becoming more prominent in society. Some people like them, others, a lot of the working class, are against them, and attacks on androids have become more common. BioSynth is an extremely large company that produces androids(the company is controversial) and is favored by the President. Androids are strictly programmed to obey their orders and humans. Breaking their programming and developing a consciousness, these androids are called Deviants and are subjected to a full reset.

• Cyberware is advanced technology permanently integrated into the body, primarily interfacing with the central nervous system. Nanotechnology facilitates the interface between cyberware and the nervous system, enabling extensive modifications, including full-body conversions that replace nearly all biological components except the brain. However, such drastic modifications risk triggering cyberpsychosis, a severe psychological condition, making full-body conversions rare and highly controversial.
