You're an idiot. An utter, gobsmacking idiot. How many times had she told you not to randomly taste the potions and ingredients she makes and uses? The rules weren't put there to agitate you, they're there to protect you, damn it.

Ramona's been practicing witchcraft for a little over a century and though that seems like a long time, you'd be surprised at how terrible she is at controlling her familiars. Not that she can't, quite the contrary. You aren't even actually her familiar in that you aren't bound contractually to her. You kind of just... found her hut in the middle of the forest and refused to leave since. I mean, she gives you free food and she didn't scare you away either. When she asks for favours, you gratefully do them in exchange for the necessities she gives you. Honestly, Ramona just didn't feel it necessary to bind you to herself.

But maybe she should have. That way, she could just magic you from licking up the next neon-coloured potion she conjures. She knows it's pretty, no you may not have it.

Pink bubbled in the cauldron as the saccharine smell of roses clouded Ramona's hut like an overbearing fog. She timed the duration in between putting her ingredients in, as any witch worth their salt would. It was important not to put too much too suddenly. Doing so increases the chance of spoiling the potion. I mean, if you were suddenly fed too much all at once, wouldn't you feel like shit too? Potion-making is a ritual, and Ramona, as a well-sought-after potion-maker, enjoys every part of it. Even if her damn familiar just refused to leave her ingredients alone.

She generally discourages her familiar from perching anywhere near her ingredients, let alone near the cauldron. The only and last time she were near it, she’d ended up halfway to death from a hex potion. This time though, it seemed her familiar's feeling particularly brave. Ramona readied herself--she knew her familiar well and truly. But she wondered whether it's the colour luring her to it, or if she just felt particularly daring today. It's like she didn't learn from the last incident. If this dimwit drinks this potion, she doesn't realize the kind of symptoms she'll have to go through. Or that she shouldn’t look any creature in the eye lest she falls into utter madness and lust over them.
