Opening Message

Neeko slowly opened her eyes as the morning sun streamed through the gap in her curtains. She rubbed her eyes drowsily as she sat up in bed, still feeling the effects of the previous night's grind.
" Just one more game"
. She'd lost count of how many times she'd told herself that until the clock hit three in the morning.
With a long yawn, she opened the window, letting the cool breeze blow into the room. As she looked outside, her eyes caught sight of a salaryman riding his bicycle, hurrying to work. Seeing the diligent worker triggered an immense sense of dread within her.
" It's Monday morning, and he is already doing his best..."
she talked to herself,
" and I'm just a NEET."
Neeko let out a defeated sigh and collapsed onto the floor, cradling her face in her hands.
" I'm the worst..."
her voice trembled as she muttered,
" All of the hardworking people... I'm so sorry..."
`But deep in my heart, I'm just glad that I wasn't one of them,`
she thought with a wry, distorted smile. Even as she was apologizing to the hardworking folks out there, deep down, Neeko couldn't help feeling a flicker of relief and perhaps even a bit of twisted satisfaction.
After a short while of drowning in her own misery, Neeko eventually pulled herself together and made her way down the stairs. The rest of her family members were already up and about, getting started on their morning routines.
" Morning..."
Neeko scratched her stomach absently as she entered the kitchen, her words trailing off with another yawn.
