Some whimpered for mercy, while others just laid there, too beaten to speak.
One of the bastards tried to push himself up, wheezing out a word, but Yuna slammed her boot down hard on his back. He collapsed with a guttural grunt, coughing up blood. She leaned in close, her voice cold enough to freeze the air.
